CLUB DIRECTOR – Approx. 200-250 hours per season (This position receives a small stipend of $5 per registered player)

Sets dates for information meeting, registration period, Evaluations & tournament

Prepares PowerPoint for information meeting

Main communicator to club

Keeps master promotional email list for club

Prepares master email list for all registered players, families, etc after registration closes

Prepares email lists per team

Presents season information at Parent Information meeting

Coordinates registrations and payments, enters data as it comes in

Assures all registrations fees are paid by players

Assures all JVA medical releases have been received and consolidates for each team

Recruits coaches

Reserves gym/gym rentals

Notifies players of team assignments

Puts together rosters for coaches with player’s numbers, names, birthdates

Puts together attendance schedules for each team

Registers teams for tournaments
-
Adds staff, players and rosters to AES when required for tournaments

Sends out tournament schedules to teams

Obtains W-9 tax forms from staff as needed
-
Distributes 1099-NEC to staff making $600+

Submits form 1096 to IRS

Files IRS Tax Form 990-N (e-Postcard)

Keeps track of club historical data

Works with Treasurer for budget and expenses

Coordinates actions of committees and communicates to Board of Directors
Requirements – Must have strong people, communication and organization skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

CONCESSIONS COORDINATOR for TOURNAMENT – Approximately 30 hours

Works with school concessions for candy, pop, nachos, ice cream treats, hot dog needs

Works with School Food Service, for pulled pork meat & buns, malt cups, pickles

Works with Bennetts for pizza and water

Picks up Pizza’s and food items day of tournament

Works at concessions stand day of tournament to provide direction

MARKETING/FACEBOOK – Approx. 20 hours

Sends communications to Eagle newspaper for information meeting

Creates PowerPoint slide and sends to high school to post on TVs in commons to advertise information meeting, etc.

Makes flyers for high school varsity coach to hand out pertaining to information meeting and registration

Makes flyers and drops off at elementary school for information meeting and registration

Puts information on Facebook

Creates slide and sends to high school to post on TV’s in commons advertising information meeting, etc.

Adds team and tournament pictures through the season to Facebook page

COACHING - Approx. 100 hours (Coaches receive a small stipend of $300-575 at end of season)

Teach the fundamentals of volleyball and help players develop good sportsmanship

Prepare practice plans

Attend coaching clinics

Run 1-2 practices per week, usually Sunday afternoons and occasional Wednesday evenings, approx. 17 practices per season

Assist with pre-season evaluations and team placements
-
Attend a minimum of 5 one day tournaments with your team

Must complete Abuse Prevention System training and pass background check every 2 years

BOARD OF DIRECTOR MEMBER - Approx. 5-6 meetings per year
