Volunteer With Your Eagles Youth Volleyball Program

Exercise is essential for children's overall health and development and volleyball is a great way to keep kids active.  Volleyball is a physically demanding sport that helps children develop coordination, balance, strength, and agility. Volleyball involves a lot of jumping, running, and reaching.

Mental health is just as important as physical health. Volleyball is a team sport, which encourages children to work together and communicate effectively, helping them build self-confidence, social skills, and self-esteem.

Volleyball also helps children develop problem-solving skills, as they have to work together to overcome challenges and obstacles. Exercise, in general, has been known to boost mood and reduce stress levels, improving children's mental health and overall well-being.

Volleyball, being a team sport, provides children with an excellent opportunity to interact with others and develop social skills. They learn to work together, communicate effectively, and form strong bonds with their teammates. Furthermore, playing volleyball helps children develop a sense of teamwork, cooperation, and leadership skills, which they can apply in various other aspects of their lives.

DE Eagles JO Volleyball has served 75-100 youth volleyball players yearly from in and around the Dover and Eyota communities for the past several years.  Our mission is to give our athletes quality court time, great coaching, and tough competition. We are committed to this mission in a very competitive and positive learning environment, which can only be possible with all players, parents and coaches playing their appropriate roles and working together. It is also our goal that our athletes shall understand the true meaning of being a teammate.

When our program enters its eighth year after this season, more community involvement is needed to continue to serve our youth and keep this program running. Numerous volunteer opportunities are available to become involved.

Volunteering for youth sports organizations can help children learn important life lessons and make a positive impact on the community. Volunteering is rewarding and provides many benefits to all involved. You can help children learn life lessons like teamwork, discipline, and resilience. You can help create a positive and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. You can make a lasting impact on the lives of young athletes.
