Club Director & Coach
Kari Wedeking
Hi, I am excited for this new role as Director. Growing up, I tried multiple sports but the only one that truly captured me was volleyball. Starting in 6th grade, I played volleyball as much as my parents and school schedule would allow. I played on my school teams, JO and SMV. I started out as a setter, moved to DS and finally a libero. I have been coaching the 10U team the last couple years and have found my motivation is in those “Ah, now I get it” moments! My desire is to continue to build this club so we have these great opportunities for the girls in our community.

10U Assistant Coach
Michelle Merchant
Hi! I’m Michelle Merchant. I’ve loved volleyball ever since I started playing in 6th grade—it’s always been a big part of my life. My favorite position has always been setter, because I love the strategy, teamwork, and communication that go into running the offense and helping the team succeed. Now that my girls are getting into the sport, it’s been really special to share that love of the game with them. Our oldest daughter is starting her second year with JO Volleyball, and our youngest is beginning her first season. It’s been so fun watching them learn, grow, and build confidence on and off the court. I’m originally from Wisconsin, and my husband Frank is from Eyota. We’re excited to be part of this great volleyball community and are looking forward to another fun season! Go Eagles!
